The Temptation Of Jesus

By

The Twelve Apostles

Satan Tempts Jesus

For forty days, Jesus wrestled with His carnal self, and His higher self-prevailed. And when He had fasted forty days and forty nights, afterward He was hungry. Now the tempter came to Him and said,

"If you are the Son of God, command that these stones become bread."

 But Jesus answered and said,

“Who is it that demands a test?

It is not a sign that one is son of God simply because he does a miracle.

The devils can do mighty things.
Did not the black magicians do great things before the Pharaohs?
My words and deeds in all the walks of life shall be the proof of my Messiahship.

It is written, 'Man shall not live by bread alone,

but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.'"

Next, the devil took Him up into the holy city, set Him on the pinnacle of the temple, and said to Him,

“If you will go into Jerusalem, and from the temple pinnacle cast down yourself to earth, the people will believe that you are the Messiah sent from God.

If you are the Son of God, throw Yourself down.

For it is written, 'He shall give His Angels charge over you,'

and in their hands they shall bear you up,

Lest you dash your foot against a stone.'

This you can surely do, because David said,

‘He gives His Angels charge concerning you,

and with their will they uphold lest you should fall?"

Jesus said to him, "It is written again, 'You shall not tempt the Lord your God.'"

Again, for the third time, the devil took Him up on an exceedingly high mountain, and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory.  And he said to Jesus,

“Look forth upon the world;

behold its honours and its fame!

Behold its pleasures and its wealth!

If you will give your life for these,

 they shall be yours.

All these things I will give you

if you will fall down and worship me."

But Jesus answered and said to him,

"Away with you, Satan!

For it is written, 'You shall worship the Lord your God,

and only Him shall you serve.'"

Away from me, Satan and all your tempting thoughts.

My heart is fixed.

I spurn this carnal self with all its vain ambitions and its prides.”

The Temptation

Then Jesus was led up by the Holy Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the Devil; and He was with the wild beasts. And when He had fasted forty days and forty nights, afterward He was hungry. Now when the tempter came to Him, he said, "If You are the Son of God, command that these stones become bread."

But He answered and said, "It is written, 'Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.'"

Then the devil took Him up into the holy city, set Him on the pinnacle of the temple, and said to Him, "If You are the Son of God, throw Yourself down. For it is written:

'He shall give His Angels charge over you,'

and, 'In their hands they shall bear you up,

Lest you dash your foot against a stone.'"

Jesus said to him, "It is written again, 'You shall not tempt the Lord your God.'"

Again, the devil took Him up on an exceedingly high mountain, and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory. And he said to Him, "All these things I will give You if You will fall down and worship me."

Then Jesus said to him, “Away with you, Satan! For it is written, 'You shall worship the Lord your God, and Him only you shall serve.'"

Then the devil left Him, and behold, Angels came and ministered to Him. Matthew 4:1-11

Ministrations

Then the devil left Him, and behold, Angels came and ministered to Him. Then Jesus left the wilderness, and being full of the Holy Spirit, He came unto the camps of John. Also, the disciples of John came to Him and ministered to Him, and He taught.

Jesus Christ And Archangel Chasiel

Angelites: This Archangel helped Jesus Christ on many occasions. You read of where Satan came to test Jesus Christ. The holy book said that the Angels of God came to Jesus Christ and ministered to him.

Is it true?

The Head: Yes, it is true.

Angelites: It was this Archangel and the Hosts of Angels working with him that did so.

Copied from The Angelites

Explanations:

1.     As long as you do not deny God, the Angels shall be with you, to guide you, to empower you, to prosper you and to protect you. The Angels of God swarm around the people of God, who live in righteousness and holiness.

2.     They shall attend to your needs, as far as those needs are in line with the will of God.

3.     God does not answer prayers of the people that disobey His will.

Temptation Of Jesus By Satan

The conversation between Jesus and Satan was in spirit, by their hearts, because spirit speaks to spirit, in spirit. The spirit speaks without using the mouth of the body. Their conversation was in the hearts. The hearts of Jesus and Satan were conversing. Also, the Holy Spirit speaks to the hearts of humanity.

The Angels ministered to Jesus. One point is that the most important thing should come first. This is because the first thing that happens determines the other things that shall follow. The Angels were the first to come and minister to Him, because the Angels are very important in the lives of the children of God. They are called Guardian Angels. Their coming promotes good conditions and gives glory to God, because they understand what Jesus is encountering, far more than human beings can understand.

Son of man, another point is this, as the Guardian Angels come from time to time, they bring down the powers of the Holy Spirit with which they stay in the presence of God in heaven. The same powers of the Holy Spirit flow into the body of the person they protect and guide, to enable the person do his works.

The disciples came to Jesus, later in a house, after Jesus had returned from the wilderness and temptation.

Man Shall Not Live By Bread Alone

1.     Man is spirit, and the word of God is spirit and life.

2.     The word of God is food to our body, soul and spirit. The way we breathe in is the way the word of God enters our spirit, to empower us, to energize us, to transform us, to direct us, to renew us and to strengthen us.

3.     As bread is good to our body, by giving strength, so is the word of God food to our soul and spirit.

4.     It is the word of God that renews us and makes perfect as our heavenly Father is perfect.

5.     Man must not neglect the word of God because of body needs or worldly benefits, which are temporal.

6.     The word of God does not only gives us life here on earth. It is the key to our everlasting wellbeing.

You Shall Not Tempt The Lord Your God

1.     Do not tempt God by doing things that ere unnecessary

2.     Do not put yourself into danger, simply because you know that God will deliver you.

3.     You must avoid false beliefs and wrong practices.

4.     Faith is not believing every false imaginations and wrong teachings. It is the knowledge of the Truth and abiding in the Truth.

5.     In every situation, man must play his roles, before the blessings of God shall manifest in his life

6.     We should not believe every spirit. We should rather test every spirit, in order to differentiate the spirits sent by God from the evil spirits.

You Shall Worship And Serve God Only

1.     You have to worship God only and only Him shall you serve.

2.     Humanity should not engage in the worship of idols, people, Mary or saints.

3.     It is only God Almighty that is worthy of worship.

4.     People must not disobey the word of God because of earthly riches, which are the waste products from heaven that are used to test the children of men (humanity).

Lessons From The Temptations Of Jesus

1.     The temptation was not the only temptations that Jesus encountered and overcame. There were many temptations, but Jesus overcame all.

2.     All the conflicts and oppositions from the chief priest and elders, from the Pharisees, Sadducees and Scribes, and from the multitudes were engineered by Satan. When Simon Peter spoke to Jesus against His crucifixion and death on the cross, it was Satan that was at work. That was why Jesus rebuked and said, “Get behind me, Satan.” Even when the multitudes were later shouting, “Crucify Him,” it was still the same Satan that was at work.

3.     You have to know the word of God very well, for you to be able to defeat the forces of darkness and powers of darkness.

4.     Parents, especially mothers, have to spend time to teach their children the word of God, so that the children will know early in life what is truth, righteousness and holiness.

5.     In all their teachings and preaching about Jesus Christ, the religious leaders and ministers of God fail to tell the congregations that Jesus spent a lot of time to study the Scriptures before He went into full time ministry. And the holy book He read and studied was not the bible, which was written after His death. The holy book He read and studied was the complete and original holy book of Christianity called Yahweh's Book Of Life, which today contains over four thousand (4000) books and topics.

6.     And so many ancient prophets visited Him, to give the true accounts of their works to Master Jesus. The ancient prophets included Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, etc. That was one of the reasons why Jesus was going to and staying in lonely places as mentioned in the holy book. It was not only Holy Moses and Elijah that visited Jesus, as recorded in the transfiguration.

7.     In fact, the Hosts of Angels and Saints of heaven were visiting Jesus from time to time. That is why the holy book said that the Angels came and ministered to Him. It was not only once, but several times.

Why Jesus Often Say, “It Is Written.”?

He often said it because:

1.     The word of God is perfect and true.

2.     It has been written as a holy book, to help humanity to remember the importance of the word of God.

3.     The word of God should be our guide every day.

4.     Here, Jesus is teaching humanity to consider what God said in every aspect of our life, which statements are clearly written down.

5.     We should always do what God says.

6.     As very important, people shall read the scriptures from time to time to remember what God said

7.     People shall not disobey God because of the rich, wealthy or influential people. Instead, both great and small should always abide with the word of God.

8.     Everything about God is outlined and explained in the laws and the prophets.

9.     There is no freedom of worship, in heaven or on earth.

10.                        Whoever that wants to worship God must do so in spirit and in truth, exactly as was directed and written down by God for humanity, through Holy Moses and the Prophets.

11.                        For everything you do in the true worship of God, God would or has specified the processes and procedures.

12.                        God would specify the date and times, called the appointed times of God.

13.                        God would mention all His festivals in the order of their timing.

14.                        For the materials to be used in worship, God would mention their names, sizes and numbers.

15.                        In other words, there is no room for freedom of worship. For freedom of worship means that everybody, group or church is free to do things the way they like.

16.                        Freedom of worship is an abomination. That is why God said that His people must not learn the ways of the Gentiles, other nations of the world.

17.                        One reason why God said so was because nations of the world, especially through their spiritually blind and ignorant leaders, do introduce lies and fabrications into records in order to manipulate the ignorant masses.

18.                        Out of jealousy and by religious politics, both religious and civil leaders misinterpret the scriptures, edit, alter, delete or replace the true statements in the scriptures, without the general public knowing that such evils are being committed behind the scenes, in secret.

19.                        That is why the same book of Jeremiah warned the world saying,

"How can you say, 'We are wise,

And the law of the Lord is with us'?

Look, the false pen of the scribe certainly works falsehood.

The wise men are ashamed,

They are dismayed and taken.

Behold, they have rejected the word of the Lord;

So what wisdom do they have?

Jeremiah 8:8-9

Again, Jeremiah warned the world about lies and fabrications, and indicated that God would later correct all false teachings and wrong practices, saying,

O Lord, my strength and my fortress,

My refuge in the day of affliction,

The Gentiles shall come to You

From the ends of the earth and say,

"Surely our fathers have inherited lies,

Worthlessness and unprofitable things."

Jeremiah 16:19-21
